Gilly Keith – registered midwife
I am married with 2 grown up children and started my working life in television production and advertising. However, midwifery always held a fascination for me and so I embarked on full-time training for 3 years at King’s College London and St. Thomas’ Hospital, Westminster and qualified as a midwife. What a privilege it’s been to help and advise parents at such an important and exciting time for them.
I have advised and supported women and their partners throughout the child-bearing process – antenatally, during labour and birth and postnatally. I have cared for couples both within the NHS and on a private basis. Please see testimonials.
My classes are relaxed in style but have a clear agenda. I think that continuity of care is crucial and guarantee that I will lead each and every class. My aim is to impart relevant, up-to-date information in an unbiased way to enable you to feel confident in making choices which are right for you and your baby. Issues such as ‘pain relief in labour’ and ‘breastfeeding’ are individuals’ choices, and I do not see it as my role to dictate what is right for you, merely to inform and advise in a non-judgemental way. Every couple and every baby is unique and my classes are conducted with that in mind.
